Believe it or not even travellers need to kick back and relax sometime. As we eagerly await the arrival of Noah’s nan we’re spending glorious days in Akaroa reading, writing and walking on the beach. It’s also giving us time to reflect on our travels. With so many wonderful experiences neither of us can decide what the highlight of our trip has been so far but we unanimously agree that finding/losing things in our backpacks is the worst. For me, snoring dorm mates comes a very close second but since Noah typically falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow we can’t agree on this. But most importantly, as I watch Noah grow in every way I can’t believe that I ever questioned why we were doing this trip. Right now, life is pretty perfect in the little harbour town of Akaroa.
