Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers

Reported by roving reporter Noah

Ice blocks from Franz Josef

Over the last three days I have explored the Franz Josef Glacier region. It’s an interesting area because there are places where you can walk on the beach, turn around and be in a thick luscious rainforest. Everyone comes to see the glaciers like us but the glaciers were not what I expected at all. I was astounded by the colour of the water running from it which was a silvery, brownish grey because it grinds the rocks which make ‘rock flour’.

I’ve been completely astonished by the glacier and I will come back when I’m older to walk on the ice.

Thank you for reading. Bye!!
