2000 km South

Our spaceship called Homa

Reported by Noah –  We are half way through our massive 2000km  drive south from Cairns to Brisbane. Our speedy spaceship has proved to be a worthy vehicle. We’ve seen lots along the way including the largest coral reef aquarium in the world, the whitest sand beach in the world in the Whitsunday Islands and the most awarded miniature sugar mill in the world.

I’ll tell you a bit more about the sugar mill, shall I? We’ve seen hundreds of cane fields along the way and dozens of sugar cane factories along the way and I wanted to find out what happened inside. So, we went to the miniature sugar mill in Sarina. I got to chew on the inside of a cane and taste the juice that it makes. As well, tasting the final product – raw sugar. Mum says I’m even sweeter now!
