Feathers and Fur

My first Koala sighting

Reported by Noah – Australia has many of the world’s most interesting animals from laughing birds to cute marsupials. My favourite is the koala because it looks so cute and cuddly. Mum’s favourite is the laughing kookaburra  of which we have seen lots. In the lowland rainforest we even got up at 6am to look for the shy and amusing platypus but we didn’t get a good look and only saw splashes.  Also, we haven’t seen a cassowary in the wild but we did see them in captivity at Rockhampton zoo. Finally, we’ve seen lots of kangaroos which have mostly been on the side of the highway….dead!
