Abbeys and villas

The Cerne Giant

The Cerne Giant

By Noah- Busy couple of days spent visiting the Cerne Giant( the naked one made of chalk in a hill) Lacock abbey (birthplace of photography and numerous film locations including Harry Potter) and Chedworth Roman Villa.

I thought the Roman villa was the best because it gave a very valuable insight to Roman life with the guided tours taking us to all the interesting rooms such as the dining room and the baths.

Chedworth also boasts some of the best preserved mosaics in the world and I thought that these mosaics were definitely some of the best I’ve seen.
